Rain Boots: Part 2

12x18 Oil pastel, watercolor, sharpie, glue

It is the rainy season in the Bay Area in the winter.
Last year, I did a umbrella project. This year, I have students design the rain boots. We started out to draw the outlines of the boots and umbrella together. Then each student added designs on.
After applying colors on boots and umbrella with watercolor, we used oil pastels to create puddles. Students used fingers to blend colors.
The last part of the project was to create raindrops by glue, which was mixed with white paint and water. The results were fantastic and very dramatic.
